The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) participates in the delivery of excellent medical services in a patient-centered medical home environment with an emphasis on disease prevention. The nurse practitioner provides quality and affordable healthcare to all patients regardless of race, gender, age, background, religion, socio-economic status, etc. The FNP diagnoses, treats, and follows up with all patients according to their individual medical needs. The FNP seeks out alternative methods of treatment when cost is an issue; prescribes necessary medication(s) and requests appropriate referrals when needed. The FNP also participates in various committee meetings to include Peer Review Meetings and Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) Committee Meetings to coordinate improvement in all areas of the clinic with an emphasis on the importance of the individual patient and putting their needs first.
