The Nurse Practitioner conducts comprehensive medical assessments, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis and treatment of complex responses of individuals requiring inpatient psychiatric care and treatment of co-occurring substance abuse issues. As a Nurse Practitioner (FNP), you will be responsible for the comprehensive coordination of medical care for assigned patients. This includes completing all required documentation such as admission history and physical assessments within 24 hours, medicine/pediatric consultation assessments, and follow-up notes within 48 hours. You will utilize ICD 10 terminology and concepts for diagnosis and treatment, and prescribe medication or other interventions within the scope of NP practice. The role involves operationalizing systems to accept and treat all appropriate patients up to hospital census capacity, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, and participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives. You will also support our positive image as a responsive, quality health care service provider to referral sources, insurers, and MCOs, and respect diverse views and approaches, contributing to an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility, and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors. Other patient care duties as assigned.
