About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Greenville, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The services offered include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is suitable for new graduates, with comprehensive on-site orientation, training shifts, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical support. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with providers being the primary medical decision-makers in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. A rewarding aspect of the role is mentoring medical assistants. KidsStreet Urgent Care plays a vital role in supporting families in the community by accepting Medicaid and providing care for children of all ages, acting as a safety net for parents. The clinic is open 362 days a year to provide accessible care and prevent costly ER visits. This position offers extensive pediatric care experience while maintaining other clinical skills, positioning it as a significant launchpad for career growth.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • Are you DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)?

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suturing.
  • Splinting.
  • General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • General Dermatology.
  • General eye problems.
  • General EKG interpretations.
  • Emergency management skills.
  • General GYN expertise.
  • Treating children of all ages.
  • Occupational medicine.
  • Telemedicine.
