About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team in Valley, Alabama. The FNP will provide patient-focused care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment, leading a small team. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. This role is open to new graduates and offers extensive support, including HQ orientation, training shifts, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making support. The position allows FNPs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from babies to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and marketability high. The FNP will act as the medical provider in the clinic, leading their team of medical assistants and serving as a professional role model. The role also supports rural communities by providing access to care 362 days a year and offers opportunities for tuition reimbursement grants or student loan reimbursement grants through state-funded programs, with assistance in the application process. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • Are you DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)?

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Provide General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine appointments.
