About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Greenville, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The services offered include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is suitable for new graduates, with comprehensive training provided, including an on-site HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and on-call support for clinical decision-making. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with FNPs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants. A significant aspect of the role is supporting families in the community by providing accessible care, including accepting Medicaid, and offering an alternative to expensive ER visits. The position is described as a career launchpad, with a commitment of two years expected from the provider.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suturing.
  • Splinting.
  • General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • General Dermatology.
  • General eye problems.
  • General EKG interpretations.
  • Emergency management skills.
  • General GYN expertise.
  • Treating children of all ages.
  • Occupational medicine.
  • Telemedicine.
