About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Raleigh, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The clinic offers urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is suitable for new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided, including a complimentary UpToDate subscription and access to an on-call provider for clinical decision-making. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice to treat patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain sharp skills and marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with FNPs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing accessible care and assisting with applications for state-funded tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (cost covered by employer).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures including toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture and splint wounds.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by a Radiologist).
  • Manage general dermatology and eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
