About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is growing and seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team. The FNP will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive training and ongoing support, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care course and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from babies to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and marketability high. The role emphasizes leadership, with the FNP acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care in underserved areas, with clinics open 362 days a year. MainStreet Family Care offers opportunities for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants for eligible clinics. This role is described as a "rocket ship" for career growth, with a two-year commitment expected from the provider.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture and splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by a Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology and general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
