About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team in Alexander City, Alabama. The FNP will provide patient-focused care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment, serving patients of all ages. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The role involves leading a small team and utilizing the full scope of practice. The company offers extensive support, including orientation, training shifts, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making support. This position emphasizes the provider's autonomy and leadership within the clinic, with treatment protocols available to guide decision-making. The role also supports rural communities by providing access to care and assisting with applications for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
• MSN, or higher education required.
• DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
• Suture.
• Splint.
• Perform general orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
• Handle general dermatology issues.
• Address general eye problems.
• Perform general EKG interpretations.
• Utilize emergency management skills.
• Demonstrate general GYN expertise.
• Treat children of all ages.
• Provide occupational medicine services.
• Conduct telemedicine appointments.
