About The Position
The School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications and nominations for a full-time faculty position teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner Track in the Graduate Clinical Programs. This role will be focused with graduate clinical programs and is not a remote position. The UAB School of Nursing is a leader in integrating research, education, and clinical practice, with a strong legacy and national recognition. It offers a wide range of innovative nursing programs and is a designated Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for International Nursing. The School is part of the UAB Academic Health Science Center and is a leader in collaborative science with a diverse funding portfolio supporting scholarship in various health areas. It also features state-of-the-art simulation and skills laboratories for hands-on learning.
Requirements
- Experience as an advanced practice Family Nurse Practitioner.
- A minimum of a doctorate degree in nursing or a related field.
- An unencumbered registered nurse license in the state of Alabama or eligibility for licensure.
- Faculty may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service and scholarship components of the faculty role.
- This role will be focused with graduate clinical programs.
- This is not a remote position.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a family nurse practitioner.
- Prior teaching experience.
