About The Position

Midwest Express Clinic (MEC) is a rapidly growing healthcare organization redefining urgent and primary care with convenient, high-quality healthcare. We are seeking compassionate, patient-focused Family Nurse Practitioners to join our team in Illinois and Indiana. This role is for a key clinical leader within the clinic, responsible for providing evidence-based care, fostering an exceptional patient experience, and partnering with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, leadership, and physicians to deliver efficient, high-quality care. Providers are expected to balance clinical expertise with strong communication, teamwork, and a hospitality-minded approach.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana
  • Ability to treat patients across the lifespan
  • Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine experience
  • Experience performing common urgent care procedures
  • DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine
  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology results
  • Perform procedures including: Laceration repair, Incision and drainage, Foreign body removal, Splinting, Nail procedures, Injections
  • Perform DOT physicals and occupational medicine services
  • Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Deliver compassionate, efficient care while creating a welcoming and reassuring environment
  • Communicate clearly regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, follow-up care, and patient education
  • Support MEC's commitment to service excellence by maintaining professionalism and empathy during every patient interaction
  • Address patient concerns proactively and contribute to positive patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Serve as a clinical resource for Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, and clinic team members
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support onboarding and development of new clinical staff
  • Collaborate effectively with collaborating physicians and operational leaders
  • Support clinic goals related to patient flow, efficiency, and quality metrics
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and clinical quality programs
  • Assist with maintaining regulatory compliance, infection control, and patient safety standards
  • Adapt to varying patient volumes, staffing needs, and clinic locations as business needs require
