About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring a floating Family Nurse Practitioner to work across multiple clinics in the Northeast Florida region. The FNP provides patient-focused care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care setting and may also provide primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The role requires flexibility to work with teams at different clinics and provide leadership in the urgent care environment.

Clinical services include minor procedures such as toenail and foreign-object removal; suturing; splinting; orthopedic evaluation and management; reviewing X-rays, which are also over-read by a radiologist; dermatology and eye care; EKG interpretation; emergency management; gynecological care; and treatment of children of all ages.

Shifts are determined two months in advance. MainStreet clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. KidsStreet clinics at the listed locations are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Work hours may change based on company needs, training, and floater assignments.

Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner board certification is required.
• An MSN or higher education is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work with teams in different clinics.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with EMR systems.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine.
• Perform minor procedures, including toenail removal and foreign-object removal.
• Perform suturing and splinting.
• Evaluate and manage general orthopedic concerns.
• Review X-rays for radiologist over-read.
• Provide general dermatological and eye care.
• Interpret general EKGs.
• Provide emergency management.
• Provide general gynecological care.
• Treat children of all ages.
• Work with teams across multiple clinics and provide leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.
