About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Oxford, NC. The FNP will provide patient-focused care, aiming to help patients feel better quickly. The clinic offers urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care course and access to an on-call provider for clinical decision-making. The role allows FNPs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain and enhance clinical skills. The FNP will act as the leader of their clinic team, making independent clinical decisions with the guidance of treatment protocols and supporting the professional growth of medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing essential healthcare access and may qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology issues.
  • Address general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
