About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team in Havelock, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The clinic offers urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is suitable for new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making assistance. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with providers being the medical decision-makers in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care in underserved areas, with clinics open 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture and splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by a Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology and general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
