About The Position

Teche Health, A Federally Qualified Health Center, is seeking a qualified Family Nurse Practitioner to work on a full-time basis in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The employee will devote their full professional time and expertise to the performance of their duties, supporting the purposes and obligations of the Clinic. The role involves providing medical services within the fullest scope of the employee's license and expertise to Clinic's patients, at times and places designated by the Clinic. This includes on-call coverage, maintaining an office practice, and allocating time among duties customary for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Family Nurse Practitioner in a family medicine practice. The position also involves collaborating to meet quality metrics, marketing and growing primary care services, and potentially serving on committees or performing supervisory/administrative duties as directed by the Clinic, provided the employee remains actively engaged in full-time practice. The Clinic will provide necessary office and clinical space, as well as appropriate equipment. The employee will cooperate in billing and collection activities by providing timely and complete documentation consistent with applicable codes.

Requirements

  • Must provide medical services within the fullest scope of license and expertise.
  • Must be available for on-call coverage.
  • Must maintain an office practice.
  • Must meet or exceed quality metrics.
  • Must cooperate in billing and collection activities by providing full and complete documentation in a timely manner consistent with applicable codes.

Nice To Haves

  • May be necessary to expand duties to include the mentorship/directorship of any Nurse Practitioner program, upon mutual agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Devote best effort and full professional time, skill, and labor to the performance of duties as an Employee of Clinic.
  • Support the purposes and obligations of Clinic.
  • Provide medical services within the fullest scope of Employee's license and expertise to Clinic's patients at times and places designated by Clinic.
  • Provide on-call coverage, being available via phone to the Clinic's after-hours call coverage program.
  • Maintain an office practice available to see patients Monday through Friday at office hours set by Clinic.
  • Allocate time among duties customary of an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Family Nurse Practitioner in a practice specializing in Family medicine.
  • Meet or exceed quality metrics determined in collaboration with the Employee.
  • Market and grow specific primary care services at Clinic.
  • Work to improve primary care services in the community.
  • Potentially expand duties to include mentorship/directorship of any Nurse Practitioner program, upon mutual agreement.
  • Serve on such committees and perform such supervisory/collaborative, administrative and/or professional duties as Clinic shall direct, provided that Employee shall remain actively engaged in the full time practice of Family medicine.
  • Cooperate in billing and collection activities by providing full and complete documentation in a timely manner that is consistent with requirements under applicable procedure and diagnosis codes.
