About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Bainbridge, GA. The role focuses on providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The FNP will lead a small team and is suitable for new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided, including a pediatric urgent care CE course and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making. This position allows FNPs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain and enhance clinical skills. The role emphasizes leadership, with FNPs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic and serving as a professional role model for medical assistants. The company supports rural communities by providing accessible care 362 days a year and assists eligible employees in applying for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures including toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture wounds.
  • Splint fractures.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by a Radiologist).
  • Manage general dermatology cases.
  • Address general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Apply general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine consultations.
