About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Family Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive, high-quality care across the lifespan. Position Overview- The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will provide primary and integrated behavioral healthcare services in accordance with Maryland state regulations and organizational standards. This role requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The FNP will report to the Clinical Director and work closely with therapists, psychiatric providers, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Maryland RN license
  • Active Maryland Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board certification as FNP (FNP-BC or FNP-C)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in primary care and/or behavioral health strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including history and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Prescribe medications, including psychotropic medications, in accordance with Maryland regulations
  • Perform routine wellness exams, preventive screenings, immunizations, and health promotion education
  • Deliver integrated behavioral health services including screening, diagnosis, and management of depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and other psychiatric conditions
  • Conduct brief interventions, crisis management, and motivational interviewing as appropriate
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and families
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers for coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in program development and community outreach initiatives
