About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Valdosta, GA. The FNP will provide patient-focused care, including urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. This role is suitable for new graduates and offers extensive support, including on-site training, mentorship from experienced providers, and access to an NP on-call for clinical decision-making. The position allows FNPs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The FNP will lead a small team of medical assistants, acting as a professional role model and contributing to their career growth. KidsStreet Urgent Care serves families in the community, accepting Medicaid and providing care 362 days a year to avoid costly ER visits for common ailments. This role is described as a 'rocket ship' for career advancement, with a commitment of two years.

Requirements

Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
MSN, or higher education required.
DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
Suturing.
Splinting.
General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
General Dermatology.
General eye problems.
General EKG interpretations.
Emergency management skills.
General GYN expertise.
Treating children of all ages.
Providing Occupational medicine services.
Providing Telemedicine services.
