Family Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Four Winds Hospital in Westchester, New York, is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide care in an inpatient psychiatry setting. The practitioner works collaboratively with the Director of Health Services, consulting physician specialists, staff psychiatrists, primary care providers, and outside consultants to develop appropriate health care plans. The role includes taking medical histories and conducting physical examinations for adults, adolescents, and children upon admission and for episodic medical problems during their inpatient stay. The practitioner also teaches, counsels, and assists individuals with preventing illness and promoting, maintaining, and restoring health. The schedule consists of three 12.5-hour shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with one weekend per month from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Starting salary is $130,000.
Requirements
- Current New York State certificate as a nurse practitioner in family health.
- Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license.
Nice To Haves
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
Responsibilities
