About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Moody, Alabama. The role focuses on providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The FNP will lead a small team and is responsible for treating patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, utilizing their full scope of practice. The company emphasizes support for new graduates, offering comprehensive training, mentorship from experienced providers, and access to an on-call NP for clinical decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills, inspire medical assistants, and serve rural communities with limited access to care. MainStreet clinics are open 362 days a year to meet community needs. The company also assists with applications for state-funded tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants for eligible clinics. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture and splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by a Radiologist).
  • Address general dermatology and general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Apply general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
