About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team in Milton, FL. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment. The FNP will lead a small team and provide a wide range of services including urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The position is open to new graduates and offers extensive support, including orientation, training shifts, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making support. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics. The role emphasizes leadership, allowing the FNP to be the primary medical provider in the clinic with access to treatment protocols and the opportunity to mentor medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care and assisting with applications for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. This role is described as a "rocket ship" for career growth, with a two-year commitment expected.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
  • MSN, or higher education required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred

Nice To Haves

  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Provide General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine.
