About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is hiring a floating Family Nurse Practitioner to work across clinics in the East North Carolina region, including Wilmington, Swansboro, Havelock, and Kinston. The practitioner will provide patient-focused care in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Services offered include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The position requires flexibility to work with teams at different clinics and provide leadership in the urgent care setting. Shifts are determined two months in advance. MainStreet clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. KidsStreet clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Work hours may change based on company needs, training, and floater coverage. Compensation includes competitive hourly pay plus bonus incentives. Benefits and other offerings include malpractice insurance, a $750 annual CME allowance, an UpToDate subscription, mileage pay, paid orientation and training, and 401(k) eligibility after 90 days. Standard pre-employment background checks and drug screens are performed.

Requirements

Family Nurse Practitioner board certification is required.
An MSN or higher degree is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility to work with teams at different clinics and provide leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with an EMR.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Perform minor procedures, including toenail and foreign-object removal.
Suture wounds and apply splints.
Evaluate and manage general orthopedic conditions.
Review x-rays for radiologist over-read.
Evaluate and treat general dermatologic and eye problems.
Interpret general EKGs.
Provide emergency management.
Provide general gynecological care.
Treat children of all ages.
Provide occupational medicine and telemedicine services.
Work across multiple clinics and collaborate with teams in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.
