About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team in Havelock, NC. The role focuses on providing patient-centered care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine settings. The FNP will lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive support, including HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making support. The position allows for the full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain and enhance clinical skills. The FNP will act as a leader for their team, supported by treatment protocols and medical assistants, with opportunities to mentor and inspire medical assistants. The role also supports rural communities by providing access to care in underserved areas, with potential eligibility for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture and splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology and general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Apply general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
