Family Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team in Eden, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The clinic offers urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is open to new graduates, with comprehensive on-site orientation, training shifts, and ongoing support including a complimentary UpToDate subscription and a provider on-call for clinical decision-making. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and marketability high. The role emphasizes leadership, with providers being the medical authority in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care in underserved areas, with clinics open 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. Requirements
- Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
- MSN, or higher education required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
- DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers the cost).
Responsibilities
- Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
- Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
- Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
- Suture.
- Splint.
- Perform general orthopedic evaluations/management.
- Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
- Handle general dermatology issues.
- Address general eye problems.
- Perform general EKG interpretations.
- Utilize emergency management skills.
- Provide general GYN expertise.
- Treat children of all ages.
- Provide occupational medicine services.
- Conduct telemedicine appointments.
