About The Position

This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries, managing episodic and chronic conditions, and performing minor office procedures as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up. The role also includes performing various physicals and evaluating patients for workers' compensation injuries.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in providing patient care as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required
  • Master’s degree (Family Nurse Practitioner) and appropriate state license required
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens, and related compliance standards
  • Detail-oriented and confident in medical best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence with common PC applications, Microsoft Office and EMR applications
  • Experience with occupational health practices including DOT qualification, drug testing protocols, and physicals
  • Respect and autonomy in decision-making
  • Team-based approach to patient care.
  • ACLS / BLS certifications (We will provide this if needed)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
  • Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
  • Perform minor office procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, orthopedic splinting and related treatments.
  • Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
  • Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
