Family Medicine Physician - Walton, DVH
About The Position
United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an excellent physician for a clinic on the campus of a critical-access hospital, on the western edge of the Catskills, in beautiful Walton, New York. This traditional inpatient/outpatient practice is set in a friendly town where your patients are your neighbors. The primary care practice consists of family medicine physicians, advance practice providers and psychiatric nurse practitioners. Multiple outpatient specialties are available on-site. The practice is located adjacent to the hospital — a 25-bed medical and short-term rehab unit, with a 24/7 Emergency Department. Ancillary services available on site include: lab, cardiopulmonary and imaging services. Both inpatient and outpatient PT, OT, speech, cardiac and pulmonary rehab. On-site outpatient pharmacy. Call: One week approximately every two months for the primary care practice only. Teaching opportunities are available with the UHS Family Practice and Internal Medicine residents, Endocrinology, Geriatrics and Sports Medicine fellows, transitional year students, as well as 3rd and 4th year medical students on rotation from Upstate Medical University.
Requirements
- Board eligible or certified in Family Medicine.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program.
- Accepting J1 and H1B candidates.
Responsibilities
- Provide traditional inpatient/outpatient family medicine care.
- Participate in on-call rotation for the primary care practice (approximately one week every two months).
- Engage in teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and medical students.
