About The Position
Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Family Medicine Physicians in Fremont, CA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This role offers a refreshing alternative to packed clinic schedules, after-hours patient messages, and productivity targets at large health systems. It provides an opportunity to add hands-on procedures to your practice and gain clinical autonomy, with a no-call, Monday–Friday schedule. The position focuses on high-impact wound care without corporate red tape, allowing physicians to direct patient outcomes based on their clinical expertise and utilize custom software designed to reduce administrative time.
Requirements
- Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
- DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
- Open Background: We welcome Family Medicine physicians, as well as Internal Medicine physicians and surgeons of all backgrounds.
- No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
Responsibilities
- Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
- Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
- Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
- Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
