About The Position

The National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a role focused on wound management. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management through training from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting, specifically in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility. This is a mobile practice where physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients daily within a 40-60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is performed at the point of care in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

  • Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
  • Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in wound management.
