Family Medicine Physician - Austin, TX
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a role focused on bedside wound care in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management through specialized training from highly qualified, wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. The practice involves weekly wound rounds at facilities within a 40-60 mile radius, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day across 2-3 facilities daily. Clinical documentation is performed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
- Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
- Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
- Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
