About The Position
Valley Health is a vital healthcare provider serving over 125,000 patients annually across southern West Virginia, southeastern Ohio, and eastern Kentucky. With a network of more than 60 facilities, they offer a comprehensive range of services including family medicine, women’s health, dentistry, internal medicine, ENT, optometry, pediatrics, and behavioral health. They also provide specialized programs such as WIC nutrition services, school-based health centers, black lung treatment, homeless outreach initiatives, and pharmacies. This role is for a Family Medicine Physician in Hurricane, WV, focused on providing high-quality medical care and contributing to the mission of enhancing patient health and well-being. Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities are available.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
- Valid medical license in West Virginia and/or Ohio, or eligibility to obtain one
- Strong interpersonal and clinical skills
- Dedication to community-focused care and ongoing professional growth
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions while emphasizing preventive care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care
- Educate patients on wellness and healthy lifestyle choices
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical records
