About The Position

Join SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC), a distinguished non-profit health consortium dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to the residents of beautiful Southeast Alaska. We are seeking a compassionate, full‑time Family Medicine Physician to join an established and collegial primary care team at the Vintage Park Campus. This position offers a rewarding blend of full-spectrum Family Medicine, caring for patients of all ages in an outpatient setting, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community. The Vintage Park Campus is the newest medical facility serving the Juneau community. Centrally located in the Mendenhall Valley, Vintage Park offers a range of high-quality healthcare services. As one of the largest Native-run healthcare organizations in the United States, SEARHC is committed to providing quality healthcare that honors the traditions of Alaska Native people and American Indians, while ensuring that advanced medical technologies are made accessible to all. The new $300 million Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center opened in Sitka, April 2026 and in 2021 we opened the $30 million Wrangell Medical Center, located in Wrangell. With plans to build a third critical-access hospital in Haines. In addition to the dozens of established outpatient and traveling clinics throughout the region.

Requirements

  • MD or DO with active/unrestricted Alaska medical license or ability to obtain license.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.
  • Unrestricted DEA.
  • BLS required
  • State of Alaska Medical License as an MD or DO.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics. If Board Eligible, at the time of hire, must be Board Certified within 3 years of start date.
  • Maintains active unrestricted DEA registration.
  • Maintains active SEARHC medical staff privileges.
  • Well versed in the principles and practices of primary care
  • Is aware of standards of care, EMTALA, HIPAA, health care risk management principles, medical ethics, and medical malpractice principles.
  • Communicating in an open, respectful, helpful, supportive, and collaborative manner with staff and patients.
  • Provide high quality health care services including the performance of medical procedures appropriate to the outpatient and emergency care setting.
  • Provide clinical leadership, promotes teamwork and collaboration, provides clinical guidance as requested for midlevel providers, and resolves conflict.
  • Efficiently utilize the electronic medical record and other clinically required technology.
  • Express ideas clearly through oral and written communication skills, analyze complex situations efficiently and problem solve, and effectively implement clinical program strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive primary care including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, minor procedures, coordination of care, referral, preventative care, and health maintenance to a dedicated panel of patients.
  • Participates fully in shared local urgent/emergent care on-call rotation.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of services in accordance with SEARHC policy.
  • Provides optimal patient experience using strong listening and communication skills that build long term patient care relationships.
  • Actively participates in SEARHC quality patient care initiatives and quality assurance programs.
  • Actively participates in provider and clinic meetings, and SEARHC medical staff functions.

  • Compensation salary: $263,764 -$292,527 based on years of experience, with additional productivity bonus based on wRVUs, and quality incentives.
