Family Medicine Physician - Jasper, TX
About The Position
The National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a role focused on wound management in post-acute care settings. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management through specialized training and utilize cutting-edge technologies. The practice involves bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. Physicians deliver modern wound management in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals, conducting weekly wound rounds. Clinical documentation is done in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. Paid training is provided during onboarding, along with a 6-month wound care fellowship. This is a W2 employment contract.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
- Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
- Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
- Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
- Perform clinical documentation in real-time during clinical rounds using the proprietary wound-specific EMR.
- Participate in a 6-month wound care fellowship.
