About The Position

St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join their expanding primary care team. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population in an established, patient-centered medical home. As a vital part of their multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Family Medicine Physician will play a key role in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive care, and fostering strong patient-provider relationships. Gloversville Family Health Center provides comprehensive adult primary care to residents throughout Fulton, Montgomery, and Hamilton counties, with a strong emphasis on preventive medicine and chronic disease management. The practice is both an NCQA-recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home and an NHSC-approved site, and providers working at this location will have the opportunity to earn a rural site bonus. Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills
Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in an outpatient primary care setting is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, with a focus on preventive care.
Develop individualized treatment plans that align with best practices and patient goals.
Work collaboratively with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Perform minor office-based procedures, such as suturing, skin lesion removal, and joint injections (if applicable).
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and wellness strategies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and treatments in family medicine.
