About The Position

Posterity Group LLC is seeking Family Medicine Physicians to staff The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC). The physician will provide primary care services, managing patients with simple to moderately complex conditions in an outpatient environment. This includes interviewing and examining patients, reviewing medical history, ordering diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, and providing or referring for treatment. The role also involves counseling patients and staff on healthcare topics, prescribing necessary drugs and tests, and performing procedures as appropriate throughout the period of performance.

Requirements

  • Current licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or the District of Columbia (D.C.)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible. Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABMI), or the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
  • Must have graduated from an approved school and completed residency or fellowship acceptable to the Surgeon General.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • DEA Certification
  • National Practitioner Identifier (NPI)
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Responsibilities

  • Interview and examine patients, review past medical history, and request and/or perform diagnostic tests and examinations as necessary to make a diagnosis for primary care services.
  • Make diagnoses after evaluating the information obtained and provide medical or surgical treatment and/or referral as appropriate.
  • Provide primary care services supporting a continuum of care from prevention to diagnosis and treatment, to appropriate referral and follow-up.
  • Be responsible for caring for patients with simple to moderately complex conditions that can be appropriately managed in a primary care outpatient environment.
  • Provide healthcare services for the entire period of performance at the CRDAMC.
  • Schedule and perform procedures as appropriate.
  • Counsel and educate Veteran-patients, families, and CRDAMC medical staff about general healthcare topics and concerns.
  • Prescribe drugs and tests necessary to provide care.
