About The Position

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a Family Medicine physician to join the UW Health Deforest-Windsor Clinic. This physician faculty position will offer the full spectrum of family medicine skills and patient care, with maternity care (OB) and newborn rounding being optional. The role involves clinical teaching of medical students and other learners, and may include academic scholarly work. Duties encompass patient care, teaching, participation in a clinical faculty call schedule (phone call only), nursing home visits, departmental meetings, and administrative tasks. Optional participation in obstetrics/maternity care and/or newborn rounding is available. If practicing OB, the physician would join a shared OB call group. The successful applicant may also engage in administrative and committee work supporting the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health, working collaboratively with other faculty members. This is a full or part-time position (80%-100%) requiring onsite work at a designated campus location. The position is identified as one of trust with access to vulnerable populations, necessitating an initial caregiver check and subsequent checks every four years.

Requirements

WI medical license, or eligible for license by start date of position.
Board-certified or board eligible by American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) by start date of position.
Completion of a US Family Medicine residency by the start date of the position.
MD or DO, or equivalent required.
Must provide proof of work authorization and eligibility to work.
Must pass an initial caregiver check and every four years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CT or CHS track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT track.

Responsibilities
