About The Position

Marathon Health is a leading advanced primary care provider that partners with employer and union plan sponsors to improve health for millions of Americans. They operate nationwide health centers (onsite, nearsite, and network) and offer virtual primary care, utilizing a value-based model to enhance the member and provider experience while achieving cost savings for plan sponsors. Marathon Health is certified as a Great Place to Work®, emphasizing an inclusive, high-trust culture. The company focuses on high-quality, proactive primary care for adults and children, emphasizing prevention, wellness, acute and chronic disease management, and maximizing provider-patient relationships. They seek providers passionate about full-spectrum primary care to achieve top-notch clinical quality, outstanding service, and reduced overall health costs. This role offers a smaller patient panel (less than half the traditional PCP panel size), more time with patients (appointments ranging from 20 to 60 minutes), fewer administrative and insurance-related tasks, and the opportunity to work within a passionate team dedicated to improving the U.S. healthcare system. The Employer-Sponsored Direct Primary Care model allows for enhanced relationships with patient panels limited to 800-1000 patients, with appointment times of 30-60 minutes. It features aligned incentives focused on improving health outcomes and patient engagement, removing distorted fee-for-service incentives. The model facilitates a focus on preventive care and a flexible practice approach with an insurance-free work environment, leveraging technology for patient interaction. The medical model utilizes electronic medical records and population management tools, with a dedication to quality, clinical outcomes, and patient service experience. Physicians collaborate with at least two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
