About The Position

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a Family Medicine out-patient, full-time practice in a busy, well established office. This position is 100% outpatient and requires the ability to see both pediatric and adult patients. It is a Monday-Friday opportunity with rotating call coverage and includes outstanding clinical and administrative support staff. Candidates must be board certified and able to be licensed in the State of New York. Both experienced and new graduate applicants are welcome. This role is part of the UHS Primary Care Candor department.

Responsibilities

• Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices.
• Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations.
• Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments.
• Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient’s primary healthcare provider.
