The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being. Established outpatient practice located at UPH Prairie Parkway medical Campus. Join team of 7 Physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers. Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access. Prairie Parkway provides patient-centered and comprehensive care in one 90,000 square foot building. Patients have access to therapy, lab, pharmacy, and X-ray onsite. Primary and specialty providers at the medical campus work collaboratively and include (Rheumatology, Pediatrics, OBGYN, IM, and Diabetes and Endocrinology). Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences. Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community. Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination.

Requirements

• Experienced provider preferred
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Board Certified
• Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Clinic hours vary from 7AM-5PM and extended hours on Monday and Wednesday 7AM- 7PM
• Average 18-22 patients per day
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
• Shared clinic call amongst the providers. Call is light, and first triaged through MyNurse line
• General family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, joint injections etc.
• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
