About The Position

The Cottonwood School offers dynamic homeschooling pathways for TK-12, providing a personalized, whole-learner approach that nurtures academic, social, and emotional achievement. It is a tuition-free, public charter school serving transitional kindergarten through 12th-grade students in Alpine, Amador, El Dorado, Placer, and Sacramento Counties. The Homestudy Pathway fosters holistic learning through monthly activities and events like field trips, workshops, and hands-on experiences. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience in a related field or position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Chat, or similar tools)
  • SB 484 Verification
  • Background Clearance
  • Tuberculosis Clearance (Risk Assessment or Skin Test)
  • I-9 Verification (Appropriate US Work Permits as required)
  • Complete Required Mandatory Trainings for School Employees
  • Valid California Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, and access to a reliable personal vehicle for required work-related travel.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise between families and the school under the direction of the Parent Support Supervisor.
  • Refer and provide information on services available to students and families.
  • Convey information regarding school activities, policies, goals, and procedures.
  • Host weekly park days in the assigned region.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate events for the respective Cottonwood Community Group, including two field trips/events per month.
  • Provide a monthly newsletter.
