Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal with Florida family law experience to support our growing Fort Lauderdale team. Requirements

  • Florida Family Law Paralegal experience
  • Completion of an ABA‑approved paralegal program
  • Strong command of legal research tools, Microsoft Office, and case management systems
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time‑management skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and a client‑focused approach

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field
  • Experience preparing financial affidavits using Family Law Software

Responsibilities

  • Document Preparation & Filing
  • Draft, prepare, and revise core family law documents, including petitions, motions, financial disclosures, discovery responses, and related pleadings
  • File documents with the court and coordinate service with process servers to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Case Management & Organization
  • Maintain well‑organized digital and physical case files, ensuring all documents, deadlines, and communications are easy to access
  • Track case timelines, discovery deadlines, and upcoming hearings to keep matters moving smoothly
  • Manage discovery materials, organize incoming records, and assist with preparing complete, polished document sets
  • Client Communication & Support
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, collect required documents, provide clear updates throughout their case, help them understand procedural steps, and ensure they feel supported and informed
  • Attorney Support & Trial Preparation
  • Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and supporting materials
  • Coordinate with clients and witnesses as needed and help ensure attorneys are fully prepared for upcoming proceedings
  • Use legal technology tools such as Clio, Family Law Software, and legal research platforms to support case progress
