Contract-based Tulsa, Oklahoma Family Law Litigation Attorney Opportunity – In-Person Court Coverage
About The Position
The Freelance Firm is seeking a highly experienced and confident Oklahoma Family Law Litigation Attorney for a contract-based opportunity to support a busy and growing Tulsa family law practice. This role requires significant in-person court coverage and appearances in the Tulsa area, potentially multiple times per week. The attorney will represent the firm's clients in contested family law proceedings, prepare thoroughly for hearings, and communicate effectively with the firm's legal team regarding case strategy and outcomes. This position offers the chance to join a national network of legal professionals and contribute to a high-end clientele.
Requirements
- Actively licensed and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar
- Based in or near Tulsa, Oklahoma and available for regular in-person court appearances
- Significant, hands-on experience handling Oklahoma family law litigation
- Extensive courtroom and contested-hearing experience
- Highly confident and comfortable handling the contentious nature of family law hearings and appearances
- Ability to independently step into active matters, quickly understand the relevant issues, and effectively advocate for the client
- Strong knowledge of Oklahoma family law, court procedures, rules, and local practices
- Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills
- Strong litigation judgment and ability to remain composed under pressure
- Professional, polished, and respectful demeanor
- Strong client-service mentality and ability to represent the firm appropriately with its high-end clientele
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate closely with the firm's existing attorneys and staff
- Highly responsive, reliable, and proactive
- Collaborative team player who can integrate into the firm's established systems and standards
Nice To Haves
- Experience with MyCase is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person court and hearing coverage in the Tulsa area
- Appear on behalf of the firm's clients in contested family law proceedings
- Review case files and prepare thoroughly for assigned hearings and appearances
- Handle hearings confidently and independently
- Communicate with the firm's attorneys and legal team before and after appearances regarding case strategy, developments, and outcomes
- Assist with litigation strategy and substantive family law matters as needed
- Work collaboratively with the firm's existing legal team to ensure continuity of representation and a high-quality client experience
Benefits
- Pay rate starts at $80/hour
