About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a Family Intervention Specialist for its Intercept® program, an evidence-based, intensive in-home service designed to help keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, including abuse or neglect. Specialists provide services in families’ homes and communities rather than in an office, using strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions to help families build parenting and communication skills and achieve lasting change. The specialist carries a caseload of four to six families and holds individual and family sessions three times a week, scheduled around family availability. The role includes ongoing assessment, professional development through weekly meetings, collaboration with providers and systems partners, crisis support, and timely electronic medical record documentation. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional. The position requires driving to meet families; staff are reimbursed for applicable mileage. The salary range is $50,000–$57,000 per year, based on education and clinical license. A bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Experience working with at-risk youth or families and clinical experience are preferred.
