About The Position

The Family Health Educator is a committed individual who provides health education and support services to the community in the areas of Family Health, focusing on childbirth and related topics. This position provides a crucial link to the hospital and prepares families for childbirth, their hospital stay, and early postpartum period in our family-centered care environment before they transition home. This position will provide flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements

Education, training or commensurate experience in childbirth education
Experience in instructing patients, students, or families
Experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery, and/or postpartum
Experience with in person and virtual instruction
Certification as a childbirth educator
Able to incorporate different methods of learning into groups, including the use of all types of audio-visual equipment.
Remains current with all learning applications, evaluations, and meetings throughout the year.
Must have the confidence and capability to interact effectively with course participants

Nice To Haves

Relevant courses, licensure, or commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of certification
