About The Position

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to join their team. This role involves facilitating family meetings and providing in-home support to strengthen families. The specialist will coach parents on safe and nurturing interactions with their children in DCF custody, support them in meeting their children's needs, and connect with extended family members to explore support systems and create genograms. The position requires understanding complex family issues such as trauma, substance use, domestic violence, mental health, and generational poverty. Extensive training and supervision are provided. Easterseals Vermont emphasizes a mission-driven approach, work-life balance, and a family-friendly environment, working hand-in-hand with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) to promote child welfare.

Requirements

Two years of human services experience preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
Valid driver's license
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
Own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets coverage limits

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field
