About The Position

The Family Centre is seeking an experienced Family Engagement Facilitator who enjoys working with groups and building connections. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to establish good working relationships with clients, and excellent organizational skills. In this role, you will facilitate collaborative processes that bring families together with kin, close friends, and community members to support children or youth requiring intervention services. Your efforts will ensure the organization builds on the strengths of the family system. We are focused on Trauma-Informed Care for both our communities and staff teams, providing services based on research and evidence-based practices. Requirements

Diploma or degree in a human services field, with relevant experience
Experience working with Children and Family Services and collaborative service delivery is beneficial
Experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively work with individuals affected by trauma
Proficiency in delivering trauma-informed care
Police Information Check - Vulnerable Sector (completed within the last 6 months)
Child Intervention Records Check (completed within the last 6 months)
Registration with a professional body, if applicable (such as RSW)
$2 million Vehicle Liability Insurance
Reliable Vehicle, available for regular use and valid driver’s license
5-year Driver Abstract

Our Children Are Sacred Youth Suicide Prevention Training or ASIST Suicide Intervention Training (within 3 months of start date)
Standard First Aid Level C CPR (within 3 months of start date)

Responsibilities

Receive referrals and facilitate high-quality Family Group Conferences and Family Circles
Provide trauma-informed care and support to children, youth, and families
Conduct intensive Family Searches to expand support networks and locate potential placement
Work collaboratively with children, youth, families, agency staff, community members, Children and Family Services, Indigenous communities, and bands to support families
Contribute to research and evaluation efforts to measure the effectiveness of circle processes
Maintain a focus on general wellbeing, trauma, and attachment, and assist families in connecting to their culture, community, and ceremonies
Complete administrative responsibilities and attend required meetings and trainings
