Requirements
- Social Services Diploma/Certificate preferred; or Grade 12 diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years’ experience in a related area of practice
- Two years’ experience in a related area of practice
Responsibilities
- Providing supervised visitation for children-in-care with family members.
- Provide transportation to and from visits for children.
- Teach life skills to parents and other family members who access the Family Empowerment Program.
- Teaches life skills to the parents and other family members who access services from the Family Empowerment program. These include; behavior modification methods, role modeling, open discussions, and role-playing.
- Schedule all access visits between children and their families with foster families and biological families as directed by the Family Support Supervisor.
- Maintain complete, accurate and concise reports of supervised access: Reporting details observed with respect to the family dynamics.
