This role involves planning and executing a family counseling program tailored to the needs of the students, school, and community, while also providing inservice training to staff on its implementation. The counselor will develop materials and strategies for the program, counsel individuals and families on personal and behavioral concerns, and coordinate school and community services. Record-keeping of conferences and confidential reporting to staff and agencies are essential. The position also requires staying updated on relevant literature and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and school board policies, federal, and state laws.
