About The Position

The Family Community Specialist Level II will provide supportive services to children and families including education, child development, homemaking, and child and family well-being. This role involves working with hard-to-reach or resistant individuals and families, developing a working knowledge of community services, and completing reports and documentation timely. The specialist will also gauge academic needs, develop individualized plans for children, and utilize knowledge of school and community academic resources to help children reach academic standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4 years full time employment experience providing direct service to children and families
• Experience must include service to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive services to children and families including education, child development, homemaking, and child and family well-being
• Work with hard to reach or resistant individuals and families
• Develop a working knowledge of services available within each community for the child and family
• Complete reports and documentation timely and according to organizational and contract standards
• Gauge levels of academic needs and develop individualized plans for each child to reach academic standards
• Utilize and grow knowledge of school and community academic resources to help children reach academic standards
