About The Position

This is a part-time position focused on improving the quality of family childcare programs. The specialist will provide coaching, training, and technical assistance to family childcare providers, ensuring they meet program standards and licensing requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in ECE including coaching, training, and technical assistance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of family childcare programs and quality standards.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred) and database skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to hear conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid.
  • Ability to see and read with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within a family childcare network.
  • Experience with NAFCC/NAEYC accreditation.
  • Knowledge of OEC licensing requirements.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, training, and technical assistance to family childcare providers.
  • Ensure providers meet program standards and quality standards.
  • Assist providers with NAFCC/NAEYC accreditation and OEC licensing requirements.
  • Utilize computer and database skills for program support.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Drive to various locations, including getting in and out of a vehicle frequently.
  • Climb stairs, bend, lift, and reach as required by the job duties.
  • Function within the guidelines of the Agency’s core values and identify with the Agency mission.
