About The Position

This position allows you to get paid to care for an elderly or disabled family member or friend. JEVS at Home can help you apply for a state waiver to cover services if your loved one is not currently on a waiver. An eligible parent, guardian, family member, or family friend can work as a paid Caregiver. If you do not know someone who needs care, we can help find a client for you. Both the client and the Caregiver must be 18 years of age or older. JEVS at Home will cover the cost of any required clearances and Tuberculosis testing. We currently serve the following counties: Allegheny, Butler, Washington, Beaver, Westmoreland, and any county within 2-3 hours of Allegheny. We accept the following waivers: Community Health Choices, ACT 150, and the VA Aid & Attendance. If the client is not on an accepted waiver, we can assist you in starting the process with a 15-minute phone call. We will guide you through the process and answer any questions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with assigned Client Care Manager and the ability to follow verbal and written communication.
• Must complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program successfully.
• Must pass background check/clearances as required by state regulations.
