About The Position

Did you know you can get paid to care for an elderly or disabled family member or friend. We can help you apply for a state waiver to cover services if they are not on a waiver. In-home support is available if your loved one is in need of home care services. An eligible parent, guardian, family member, or family friend can work as a paid Caregiver. If you do not know someone, we can find that someone to care for your loved one! The client and Caregiver must both be 18 years of age or older. We will cover the cost of any clearances and Tuberculosis testing that is required by the state. We currently cover the following counties: Allegheny, Butler, Washington, Beaver, Westmoreland, and any county within 2-3 hours of Allegheny. We accept the following waivers: Community Health Choices, ACT 150, and the VA Aid & Attendance. If the client is not on an accepted waiver, we can assist you in starting the process with a 15 minute phone call to start the process. We will guide you through and answer any questions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to effectively communicate with assigned Client Care Manager and the ability to follow verbal and written communication.
• Must complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program successfully
• Must pass background check/clearances as required by state regulations
